The Hayloft provides the perfect place to sit back and relax, however those looking for an activity packed holiday won’t be disappointed either. Devon is packed with activities, and the location gives quick access to the M5, making day trips easy. Cycling
This area is a true cyclists paradise - traffic free family friendly routes, stunning road cycling opportunities, numerous places for mountain biking and even nearby BMX and pump tracks.
Beaches
South Devon Beaches make a fantastic family day out. Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Dawlish and Teignmouth as well as Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast can all be accessed within 30 - 45 minutes drive. North Devon favourite Surfing spots Croyde and Staunton are approximately 1 hour drive away.

Fishing
The area has a number of fishing lakes within a few minutes drive of the farm, many of which sell day passes.
Pubs
We are walking distance from two Pubs, and can highly recommend the hearty Sunday Lunch at our local, The Keepers Cottage, Kentisbeare.
Cullompton
The town is just a few minutes drive, the old market town has some nice independent cafes, good fish and chips and small but popular farmers market.
Dawlish Warren on the south coast of Devon
Exeter City
We are situated 20 minutes from this vibrant University city, with cathedral, waterfront with canoe hire and a good selection of shopping and restaurants, theatres and live music venues. It also has fun rainy day activities such as indoor climbing centres and the city's secret underground passageways.
Star Gazing
Away from light pollution we can highly recommend an evening gazing up at the stars!
National Trust
We are very close to the beautiful Killerton House and Grounds. There are several other National Trust properties within easy reach as well.

If you have young children, this indoor imaginative indoor play centre comes very highly recommended.
It is a world of role play for children to immerse themselves in, a child size high street with a play Hairdressers, Supermarket, Car Garage, Vets and many more.
It's charming design will spark your child's imagination. Tickets must be booked online in advance.
Bear Town Trail
At the same location and catering for slightly older children, the Bear Town trail is a very muddy obstacle course, tickets can be booked in advance online.
DiggerLand
Popular day out for kids and adults. Rides and JCB themed experiences. Tickets in advance only.

Beautiful National Trust House with extensive Gardens and Estate, cafe and shop on site.
Childrens themed trails and other activities are often hosted during school holidays.
Days trips for children further afield
Beaches
All children love a day trip to the beach, and there are numerous to choose from. Rocky, sandy, surfing and sheltered. Day trips to Devons finest beaches are very easy. Exmouth is our favourite, easy parking,
fine sandy beach with rock pools to explore at low tide, and very sheltered making swimming with young kids a possibility here. Plus an ice cream parlour too!

Dartmoor
Our kids love a day out scrabbling on the rocks on Dartmoor. Some Tors have car parks closer to them than others,
perfect for kids with little legs. We are happy to give recommendations before you set off.

Dart Country Park
Adventure playgrounds, high ropes courses and bike parks; a great day out, tickets need to be in advance.
Becky Falls
Approximately 50 minutes drive. Located on Dartmoor, beautiful waterfall with walking trails around it. Makes a good day out.
Haldon Forest
England Forestry Managed forest with walking routes and Mountain Bike trails and bike hire available on site.
